Spotlight on Daniel James Curry 

Daniel is a young Man who has performed at the very highest level already. At a young age Daniel used to attend a kids live music group and open mic sessions weekly. Out of 400 people in the North East he was a finalist in the Soundwaves music Festival Competition. Making it to the local final where he performed main stage at the 02 Academy Newcastle.  

In February 2023 Daniel was again invited to perform at the Soundwaves Music competition this time with the support of a band at Revolution De Cuba Newcastle Upon Tyne. But sadly the band couldn't perform. 

Daniel was a finalist in the Pride of South Tyneside Young performer of the year category two years running in 2019 and 2021 where he performed in front of over 100 people. He was also booked privately as entertainment in 2023 for the event.

Daniel wrote the lyrics for 3 origional songs with his first band having already written a song himself with the help of his guitar teacher Martin Trollope. Which was reviewed in NARC Magazine. 

He recently wrote two other songs and is currently attending South Tyneside College but has university offers to study music from three universities .  Will be choosing one soon subject to obtaining high grades on his current course.

Daniel is currently performing cover songs in the style of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bobby Darrin, Elvis Presley, Neil Diamond, the Monkees, the Turtles, The Kinks, The Beatles the Rolling Stones and Queen.  Also covering Oasis, the Artic Monkeys and George Esra to name just a few.

Daniel is availiable for private bookings and events. He has been highly commended by Ray Spencer of the Customs House, and former Mayor and Mayoress of South Tyneside.
